Internet Safety
Internet and your child
For the majority of us the internet is a safe and enjoyable experience, but nothing is 100% safe all the time, just as we do in the real world we need to take sensible precautions to protect our children from harm.
You don't need to know everything about the internet and technology to keep your child safe, you can use your everyday parenting skills and take an interest in what your child does online. Remember online means computers, mobile phones, iPod’s and games consoles. Your continued involvement as they grow up is the best way to keep your child safe.
The 2 most important safety messages to share with your child:
NEVER reveal any personal contact details online
NEVER go alone to meet someone you have met online
