Homework
Homework will be set on a regular basis for all
children. This will include learning weekly spellings. literacy and numeracy and
class activities. Each child will have a homework
diary and we would ask you to fill in the diary and add a comment if appropriate. The expectation is that all
children will complete their homework task and we would
value your co-operation in this. Children really do benefit from regular
homework as this allows you to help if necessary and be more aware of what
your child is doing in school. We also have 'special books' that are sent home
on a half termly basis. This consists of pieces of work chosen by your child
that they are particularly pleased with. Over time this develops into a
portfolio of work that shows your child's progress during the time they are
with us. This is part of a process that encourages the child to take pride
in their achievements. As a parent or carer we would ask you spend quality
time looking through this with your child. there is a page for you to add
your positive comments alongside your child's and their teacher's. |
